Art & Craft

The CBS is an old building . Our policy is to keep the building as bright and cheerful as possible. The work of the pupils themselves goes a long way to achieving this aim.
Pupils are encouraged to use their creative skills as much as possible. Both art and music play a huge part in forming well rounded individuals.

Extension Activities

The school has a policy of tapping into external expertise whenever possible - writers, artists, musicians, local library.

Artists, drama groups, musicians, writers are always welcome in the school and each year brings a number of visitors.

Charitable & Community work

Each year , the pupils of the school assist a number of charities. The include Concern, GOAL, Childline, IHCPT (Childrens' Pilgrimage to Lourdes).
Pupils donate a portion of their First Communion and Confirmation money to a designated charity.

The pupils also assist the local Tidy Towns committee by taking part in an annual litter clean up of the town.

Our school choir visits local old folks homes and hospitals to sing for the residents/patients .

Project Work

Doing projects is a central part of the school curriculum. Our policy is to display the work of the pupils in the school. Every centimetre of wall space is taken up with displays- art work,written work,etc.
