John Kavanagh was an exceptional man in the New Ross area. He dedicated his life to his family, to the GAA and to the local Credit Union movement. John trained our hurling team for many years , giving up his time every Monday morning for hurling skills with the pupils. His sons Padraig and Shane are ex-pupils of the school. John died tragically a couple of years back and we decided to dedicate our garden to his memory.
Each class has its own growing frame in the garden and we try to plant flowers and vegetables. We make our own compost. See our Environment Section.
